--001a11401f20e832240530b562c5 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 April 17, 2016 Conrad Beach, Lawrencetown There was a student from Acadia University working on his Masters Thesis regarding Ipswich Sparrows at Conrad beach in Lawrencetown this morning,. He and two helpers were catching the birds in mist nets and banding them. They had set up two mist nets and had captured 8 Ipswich Sparrows by the time I came across them at about 09:00. They were kind enough to provide me with a sample for a portrait! A picture of the bird and the mist net used has been added to my gallery at: https://scranlocker.smugmug.com/Nature/Nature-2016/n-HJQ8Xg I have also added a few pictures of the new boardwalk at Conrad's. The old bridge has not yet been fixed though. I have no information about whether it will be fixed either.
