We ( Myself, Bernard Forsythe, Rick Whitman and Jake Walker) did the route
last night. It goes up the Avon River valley behind Falmouth, then up into
the hills along a logging dirt road. We started off seeing Bernard's
backyard Barred owl before starting off . It was clear, slight breeze and
the temp dropped to 2C. We heard 1 Gt. Horned and 2 Saw- whets, and had
good looks at a Barred that flew overhead in response to the tape. There
were also 3 Woodcock and we saw 1 Snowshoe hare that looked very white.
Plenty of peepers and Wood frogs calling.
