I walked around the Frog Pond this afternoon and the drake Wood Duck was present at the east end.  No sign of the Green-winged Teal I saw on the 24th.

Dorothy Jackson who lives on McManus Road in Jollimore Village told me that she had a Chipping Sparrow in her garden today.

There was an adult drake Wood Duck lurking along the shoreline of the Frog Pond in Fleming Park in Jollimore late on Saturday afternoon (9 Aprilere).  I assume this was the same one that wintered on saltwater nearby.

There was an adult drake Wood Duck feeding with a flock of Black Ducks on the shores of the North West Arm at Fleming Park ("the Dingle") in Jollimore, Halifax, at lunchtime yesterday (Friday, 19 February).   I presume this is one of the two which were reported here earlier in the late fall/early winter.

There was also a flock of  perhaps a dozen Robins in the area, the first I have seen since the Christmas Bird Count.
