just checking if anyone got an email I sent May 1 about the sorry state of
our richest area of rare Appalachian Deciduous/Alleghanian wildflowers. All
the big sugar maples were recently cut and removed. It's a small strip
beside the bridge on the Kemptown loop of Highway 4 at the Salmon River
above Truro.

it needs a local champion as it is a listed IBP (international biolongical
program) site when they assessed NS. In such a small area it conserves so
much of this spring flowering flora.
