I had a Rusty Blackbird on the NAMBC on Saturday in L'Ardoise, Rich.
Co. I got a good look at it perched on a telephone wire beside the road,
but a truck scared him off before I could get a picture.

had an easterrn kingbird yesterday, at Van Nostrand's Pond at Starr's
Point. But I am skeptical about the rusty blackbird at Miner's Marsh or
near there, since as far as I know this is not the usual habitat for
this rare and at-risk species. However, I have virtually no experience
with rusties, except in winter at feeders (now very rare). Mike, did you
get any photos? or a recording? Grackles are now everywhere and singing
and can appear very similar. Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
