Hi All,

I finished my analysis of the recordings for the spring nocturnal migration
at Glasgow Head, Guysborough County. The only rare birds included Vesper
Sparrow on 29 May at 2:35 am and 10:58 pm; Short-billed Dowitcher on 18 May
at 11:05 pm and 21 May at 4:31 am. However, continuing from the trend noted
at this location in the autumn of 2015, there were increases in the number
of warblers compared to the spring of 2013 and 2015. These increases were
most apparent in certain species highly dependent on the Boreal Forest such
as Blackpoll Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, and Bay-breasted Warbler. Details
can be found at: http://www.johnfkearney.com/Glasgow_Head_Spring_2016.html.

John
