There was a *Little Blue Heron* at Wright's Cove in Dartmouth on July 4.
He flew overhead while I was taking pictures at the *Common Tern* colony.

I also noted 2 *Spotted Sandpiper*s at the same location on July 1.

The tern colony at Wright's Cove was very active this year with about 25 or
30 pairs - I got one photo of 40 individuals when they wheeled about the
little island they nest upon.  The production of chicks seems to have been
good as well as some parents had 4 chicks while most had at least 2.

Also, there was an *Alder Flycatcher* and a *Chestnut-sided Warbler* at
Heritage PP on Bissett Road in Cole Harbour on July 11.
