I had a report from Clarence Stevens Sr. of a western sandpiper travelling =
with a dunlin and sanderlings at Crescent Beach. At the end of Bush Island=
he had a black-backed woodpecker. On Cherry Hill Beach numbers of America=
n pipits and Lapland longspurs. He also reported an orange-crowned warbler=
there. This would be by the outer parking area for Cherry Hill Beach in b=
y where a new house is being built. At the Green Bay road at the house bef=
ore the last parking area there were four gray jays. Clarence also had a L=
incoln's sparrow there a week ago. Keep in mind that the LaHave ferry is d=
own for refit for a week and won't be back up and running again before Octo=
ber 22 if they are on schedule.
