Seasons Greetings All

After lunch my wife and I went to Hirtles Beach

for a walk. On the way back at Maders Cove I saw a bunch

of Goldeneyes in the Bay. I stopped and binoed them good as they were

almost below me. 8 in all, 3 females and 5 males. All were Barrows Goldeyes.

Males with the crescent eye patch. Not unusual to see Barrows here in Dec

but the first time I saw such a neat little flock under such good viewing.

Enjoy the end of the year!
