Subject: [NatureNS] DoWL phase of the Winter Bird List

Today we have entered the DoWL phase of the Blake Maybank Winter Bird =
List. It is where we try to get as many species as possible in February. =
These are indicated in the spreadsheet by asterisks, i.e. =
=E2=80=9C*X*=E2=80=9D. Our average for the DoWL is 147 species and =
despite the drastic difference in severity of the weather, each of our =
last two DoWLs topped out at 149 species.=20

=20

We=E2=80=99re are getting a few more Boreal species showing up recently =
so hopefully we will have a good DoWL this year. If we=E2=80=99re =
feeling lucky, our DoWL record is record is 153 species.

=20

At 194 species, our WBL is only 3 species shy of our average of 197 =
species.
