Over the past 5-10 years, I=E2=80=99ve been noticing the decline in =
house sparrows in Downtown Dartmouth. Twenty-five years ago they were so =
numerous they were a nuisance.

Today: nada. There must be a balance.=20

Meanwhile I=E2=80=99m trying to find some of the numbers compiled by the =
backyard bird counts.

Hello all,=20

I believe house sparrows are still on the decline here in N.S. as they =
are world-wide. This organization in India, Nature Forever, designated =
March 20 as World Sparrow Day over ten years ago and now over 50 =
countries are involved - focusing on other "common" birds as well.
