<span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: 12pt;">Yesterday morning (27 Feb.) while walking to work, I saw a flock of 7 Common Grackles in a tree on Oak Street in central Halifax.  These are the first I've seen this year.  New arrivals?  If so, at least 10 days early.</span>

<span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: 12pt;">My brother in Bedford reported a flock of Robins (15-20) arrived in the garden yesterday - very agitated and presumably hungry, as they lingered around the back door, where the holly bush still had berries.</span>
