Hi all=20
Finally a day without wind giving a hint of spring which seems a couple week=
s behind last year. I saw Coltsfoot in bloom today on the bank behind the Ne=
w Glasgow Walmart where the coal in the banks warms the area up quicker as m=
ost of the county is still snow covered. Last year I photographed my first C=
oltsfoot in that location Mar 29. Also in New Glasgow a Mew Gull is present i=
n the Aberdeen Business Centre Parking lot (near cinema). It has been seen m=
ost days there since March 16.=20
My first spring Double-crested Cormorants were at the Pictou Causeway piers e=
arly this afternoon. This is a week or more behind normal. Amazing the bir=
ds know somehow it was not wise to come back this way sooner.=20
A couple of Harlequins are present most days between Pier B and C in Pictou t=
own. I have not heard a Woodcock here yet- my last check was last night. =20=

Cheers
Ken=20
