I spoke with my mechanic today and he described a bird to me that he though=
t was an oriole.  He said it was all red and about the size of a robin.  He=
 knows northern cardinals and sees them all of the time.  I suspect it was =
another tanager.  He lives in Lilydale but the bird did not come back after=
 it's first visit.


Marni Gent of Garden Lots on the Silver Point Road had a singing brown thra=
sher at her property this morning.  She took a picture of the bird and sent=
 it to me.  I was there for about an hour after a car appointment, but did =
not see the bird.
