<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Yesterday was a good day for a Keji trip.<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">And I was lucky the road to the Eel Weir is open.<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">The water at the Eel Weir is at a nice level. Not too<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">high but wade able. My legs need a few wading times<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">to get used to the stress of it all. The water would be cold<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">to fall into!<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">The trout have survived last summers dry weather very well.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">The numbers seem about as usual - a personnel observation with<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">no basis in scientific fact!  And the condition of the trout seems good.<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">An old fellow - near as old as I am - showed me the two trout 22 cm<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">trout that he had and said "Those with a pound of bacon will make a <br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">good breakfast!".<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">There was a decent hatch of stoneflies but no birds hawking them. One<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">of natures ways of preserving the stone flies. Soon the birds will be hawking<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">every one that flies and the late hatching ones will be lost to the gene pool.<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">There looked to be about 4 different species - based on size. A real sort<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">of food for a lot of creatures.<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">A loon came down to see me as I fished. Came so close I could have<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">touched it with the fly. They have a habit of making eye contract with me - as <br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">much as to ask "Hows fishing?" An eagle was high over head - could see<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">a lot from where it was!<br/></span>
</div>
