 Directions: Take exit 7 from Circumferential Highway in Dartmouth, Hwy#111=
, and drive out Portland Street which becomes Cole Harbour Road, Rte 207.=
=C2=A0 Turn left on Bisset Road and follow it to the end, then turn right (=
South) and drive about 1 km. to the intersection of Dyke Road and Cow Bay R=
oad.=C2=A0 You'll see a small playground on your left about 50 meters past =
this intersection.=C2=A0(Alternatively, head for Hartlen Point.=C2=A0 At Mc=
Cormacks Beach, instead of continuing straight onto Shore Road, turn left w=
hich will put you on Cow Bay Road.=C2=A0 When Cow Bay Road turns right, kee=
p going straight.=C2=A0 You are now on Dyke Road at the end of which you'll=
 see the playground.
The path that leads down to the water from the back of the playground is ea=
sy walking, grassy, a few tree roots, and not long.=C2=A0 Just before you r=
each the ocean the path splits to the left and right.=C2=A0 The right hand =
path goes to the beach providing an excellent view of the Cove.=C2=A0 The l=
eft hand path, for me, was even better.=C2=A0 Higher but right above the=C2=
=A0spot where the Eiders were swimming and diving.=C2=A0 Even without my sc=
ope I could easily make out all the distinctive features of this gorgeous b=
ird.
