Today at the house on Wyman Road (south of Yarmouth) about 12:00 noon, about
fifteen feet from me in a lilac bush. Overcast conditions. I heard a loud,
angry chip-chip scolding, and saw the little guy flicking about. Pss-pssed
until it came into view. The slightly yellower throat by contrast with the
rest of the underparts was the most obvious thing, but the size, shape,
colour, and broken eye-ring did the rest of the identification job.

Heard golden-crowns in the woods behind earlier in the week. Been a while
since I've seen a ruby-crowned, though. Hope it starts a family nearby!
