There will be a birding field trip at Pt. Michaud, Rich. Co. on Saturday, August 12th, led by Billy Digout and Weldon MacPhail. We will meet at the Dept. Of Transportation building in St. Peter's at 9:00 A.M. and carpool from there. We'll be walking the beach (about 5 km. total ), looking for late migrating shorebirds and others. There always seem to be rarities showing up. We could be wading through a small brook, so wear footwear that is waterproof or can be easily removed. If there's time afterwards, we'll check out some ponds in L'Ardoise. Leah Jeffrey and Sheila Digout will host a luncheon afterwards at house #1301 in Rockdale.
