The 2nd one looks like the Southern Oak Dagger (Acronicta increta)
<https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/212434-Acronicta-increta>, it has been
reported in Maine and Nova Scotia on iNaturalist. Also see Caterpillars of
Eastern North America, p329.
