hi James - This has been something of an unusual year for my butterflying -=
I track my 'personal' early and late dates for many species, and I know th=
at for this year, I set new 'late dates' for at least 9 species in 2017 (Mu=
stard White, Cabbage White, Least Skipper, American Copper, Peck's Skipper,=
Northern Crescent, Spring/Summer Azure, Eastern Tailed-Blue and Painted La=
dy), and while it's late, the year isn't even over yet.
In terms of American Lady, here are my last dates for finding the American =
Lady that might be of interest:
2014 - Oct 10
2015 - Oct 14
2016 - Oct 6
2017 (so far) - Oct 3
...so your one for Oct 25 is definitely a good find!
