This afternoon:

At wharf - east end of community:

- Possible Pacific Loon...narrow but distinct chin strap, relative straight=
border separating side of neck and white neck/throat, no white around eye,=
a bit smaller than nearby C. Loon but the latter dove repetitively so diff=
icult to determine, bulkier body than Red-throated. Moving west with tide, =
after 5-7 mins. went out of sight behind rocks piled on west side, could no=
t find again.

- 2 Gannets flying and diving. Most easterly I've seen them in the Bay.

- 1 adult male Harlequin at lighthouse, also small flock of Eiders.

Buttterflies & other insects:

- 1 American Lady

- 1 Clouded Sulphur

- 1 Darkish butterfly which quickly disappeared

- Honey Bees, Hover flies (Eristalis sp), root maggot & other unidentified =
flies

Most feeding on small yellow flower, perhaps sow thistle. Many flies on veh=
icle.

Pics of butterflies and flies.

Gusty wind at times but very warm (20C+) especially for the Fundy coast.

Angus
