We too have Juncos, many are the very dark ones. There was one yesterday =
am that was brown or so I thought but I couldn=E2=80=99t get a photo. =
There were so many birds coming and going in the crumpled Grape/Kiwi =
vine. As we drove to B=E2=80=99water for appointments, we noticed =
Juncos along the roadside, more as we returned here.=20
We have never had as many Chickadees as we have had lately and there is =
seldom a lull at the feeders. 2 Catbirds, a Mockingbird as well a Male =
Red winged blackbird are here. A number of Robins flew into the trees =
flew about the property checking things out then moved on. Other birds =
include Goldfinches, Sparrows: Song but mostly White Throats, Blue Jays, =
a few Starlings, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers and Mourning Doves. 9 big =
Crows.=20

Marg

James, it has been the same here for the last week. I never saw so many =
juncos together at any given time. They are even venturing up on my =
feeders, despite seed scattered on the deck.
