In case some have not heard, these two early Spring Overshoots were added to=
the Spring First Arrivals table yesterday http://www.nsbirdsociety.ca/libra=
ry/resources/spring-first-arrivals

Of the two Sora found together near Louisburg, one was dead but the second w=
as reported beelining for nearby bushes by the observer in typical Sora fash=
ion. The winds that brought them here obviously took their toll.=20

An aside: For me, the first Spring sighting of Little Blue Heron always brin=
gs to mind Eric Cook, who many birders on NatureNS would remember. He was th=
e person who first showed me this bird, and many others in later years, in t=
he salt marsh behind Oxner=E2=80=99s Beach, Lun Co where he lived. Both he a=
nd Nellie Snyder are two people who took the time to introduce me and many o=
thers to birding and I thank them for it. I miss them both.=20
