I had put this sound under Brown Creeper in my original eBird checklist (the same one with the mechanical Chipmunk which has been removed), noting in comments I did not know what else it could be. The astute eBird editors picked it up and IDed it as an immature Pine Grosbeak. Not a common bird on the mainland but must frequent this area in low numbers. I have noticed them very occasionally over the years. Will keep watch at that location this spring.

Here is this Pine Grosbeak sound on MacCauley so should be audible to all. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/92892641?__hstc=60209138.654ce176d843afbf64b3825199d7a408.1396643674838.1522950906550.1523110023093.92&__hssc=60209138.7.1523110023093&__hsfp=3201801963
