Just had a report of the first Palm Warbler sighting for 2018! It was singing in Cape Forchu, Yar Co. and was slightly overdue compared to the past 2 years’ dates on the NSBS SFA table http://nsbirdsociety.ca/library/resources/spring-first-arrivals

Warblers are primed to sing as soon as they arrive. And many appear to beeline to their breeding grounds with few stops in between as well. So it is not only the SW NS people who will be catching out first arriving Warblers.
