We're going to have a bunch of different organisations/researchers from around NS come out and share information about their Citizen Science Projects. The event is totally free, and open to everyone/anyone! Participants include: Bird Studies Canada Blomidon Naturalists Society Canadian Sea Turtle Network Clean Annapolis River Project Dr. Cindy Stacier from Dalhousie University on the Landbirds at Risk in Forested Wetlands Project Flying Squirrel Adventures Halifax Field Naturalists/Turtle Patrol Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute Ron Neville from CFIA (Forest Pest Detection (Emerald Ash Borer and Hemlock Wooly Adelgid) Striped Bass/Skate Researchers from the Avery Lab at Acadia University and more! The Event takes place at: Kentville Town Hall 354 Main Street, Kentville, NS Doors will open at 1PM *Part 1 * 1:00-2:00 PM - Browse the Booths - Enjoy a cup of coffee/tea/juice, walk around and learn about various projects. We'll have coffee (provided by T.A.N Coffee), tea, juice and some light refreshments. *Part 2* 2:00-3:00PM Presentations will take place upstairs, 10 minute talks from various speakers (schedule to come soon). Many booths will continue to be open downstairs. 3:30 PM Expo ends.
