JUNE 26, 2018 - NEW MINAS SEWAGE PONDS:=20

Canada Goose - 1 pair of adults with 6 very large goslings that were =
apparently fully feathered and fledged?? The presumed ?goslings? were =
noticeably smaller than the two adults, but also coloured like the =
adults (?). Is this sensible? or is my aging out of control??

Mallard - lots present, and several broods of youngsters.
Black Duck - perhaps 20 seen, which included at least a couple of =
broods.
Green-winged Teal - about 20+ seen, all males.
Wood Duck - 2 seen (adult male, immature male).
Ring-necked Duck - 2 separate males seen.

BALD EAGLE: 2 adults seen soaring over the ponds (and harassed by a =
red-winged blackbird), and also landing on one of the dykes between =
ponds. Aside from the adults, the bald eagle nest, which is across the =
river from the sewage treatment office at the east end of the ponds, =
contains two very large and dark-coloured eaglets, which look about =
ready to try their first flights. I presume that the two adults seen =
are the =93owners=94 of this nest.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.=
