  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Hi All</span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">The recent tails of Bobcats and other felines persuaded<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">me to tell my Bobcat story.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">First of all I grew up on PEI which is deficient in Bobcats<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">so they were unknown to me when I was young. After<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">coming to NS local woodsmen told me that one needed<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">to be lucky to see a Cat but I must have been&#160; cause over the<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">years I&#39;ve had about a dozen reasonable sightings.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">My best sighting was about 25 years ago. One Saturday<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">in early Nov a friend and I planned a deer hunting trip to<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Snowshoe Lakes. The Friday it rained but cleared but that<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">evening and early Sat was beautiful. We were out early and had<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">gone by canoe up the stillwater to the little brook that comes<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">out of the lakes. My friend and I each took one side of the lake<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">and planned to meet for lunch up at the top. <br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">After going about 15 - 20 minutes the sun broke the horizon and as<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">usually happens the frost came at the same time. The leaves were like<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">walking on cornflakes. So as I came to a little swale with a few hummocks<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">I sat down on a hummock to await better traveling. I sat with my back to the<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">sunrise with a tree for a back rest.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">After a bit, I heard Crunch,&#160; Crunch, Crunch coming towards me. My lucky<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">day I thought and got myself in a good position. Soon I saw a brown patch<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">in the woods. I could taste the liver and onions! Out it stepped into the swale.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">not a deer but a Bobcat! The taste went away.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Bobcat walked noisely across the swale to a hummock about 15 - 20<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">steps down sun from me. It stopped on the hummock, looked around, sat down<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">and got ready for bed. Washed itself, combed its fur with its paw and made<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">like a house cat. When it finished it got up, turned around a few times to be<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">sure the bed was comfortable. It then laid down, curled up and went to sleep.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">I just sat and stared not believing my good luck! It was like I was dreaming.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">But its sleep didn&#39;t last long! A loud crash just behind me brought us both<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">to our feet to see what caused it. There was nothing obvious so I turned back<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">to look at the cat. It was as susprised as I was and stared me right in the eyes.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Not often one makes eye contact with a Bobcat.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">A beautiful animal. It looked around a few times and then went crunch crunch<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">back where it came from. No big rush so I didn&#39;t scare it - it just thought there were<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">more peaceful places to sleep.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">But I was lucky - the cat left me with memories to last a lifetime!<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Good things happen when you sit in the woods.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Enjoy the last of summer.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Paul<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">&#160;</span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">&#160;</span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">&#160;</span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">&#160;</span>
  </div>
