Salt Marsh Trail, Cole Harbour

While taking photos of feeding Bonaparte=E2=80=99s Gulls this morning at th=
e first bridge on the Salt Marsh Trail, Cole Harbour:

Discovered a banded Ring-billed Gull amongst the Bonaparte=E2=80=99s.

His bands were: Right leg =E2=80=93 silver #25 and Left leg Blue band with =
yellow #71D as near as I can tell.

Pictures of the gull at:

d-Gull

Would love to know what the bands signify.
