Subject: [NatureNS] Bicknell=92s Thrush
Some of you may have read about the Bicknell=92s Thrush research done this =
summer in N Cape Breton using songmeters placed at sites for over a month t=
o pick up the sporadically singing Bicknell=92s Thrush (Bird Studies Canada=
Fall issue of Birdwatch). I contacted the researcher, Amy-Lee Kouwenberg, =
and she shared some very preliminary results: Singing Bicknell=92s were rec=
orded at three sites for sure thus far! This is good to hear as there was o=
nly one NS report this summer that I am aware of. I also love the noninvasi=
ve nature of this study.
