Dear All,
Today while driving on route 1 west of Kentville I noticed the kind=
=20
of clearcuts on the south side of the road which for me are a matter of=20
genuine grief. I gather from the glimpses that I managed while dodging=20
potholes that these are not logging operations but instead are "site=20
improvement" jobs to make way for more paved new/used car lots or the=20
like. Everything felled at once in one glorious mess but if your chipper=20
is large enough -----.' The several miles of land south of route 1 and=20
west of Kentville was almost entirely woodland only a few years ago. Now=20
it is mostly residential or land cleared of trees, graded and waiting=20
for some commercial buyer or is allocated to a so called industrial park=20
which is mostly retail outlets inconveniently widely spaced on a maze of=20
roads and located remotely from residential Kentville.
     YT, DW, Kentville
