On Wednesday evening, my neighbour, Ken Burrows, photographed 7 =
black-bellied whistling-ducks on the salt marsh at the entrance to =
Summerville Beach Provincial Park. The photograph has been positively =
identified as being this species by several experienced birders. =
Attempts to re-locate the birds today were unsuccessful both by myself & =
Ken Burrows, and it is likely that they have moved on so those in =
coastal communities should keep an eye out for this duck seldom seen in =
our area.
If anyone would like to see the photograph, please let me know and I =
will e-mail it directly to your address.
