I saw my first common nighthawk for the year in Bridgewater over Dufferin S=
treet on June 8.

On June 5 at Cherry Hill it was wood tick central. They say that wood tick=
s do not blow in the wind, but that is the only explanation as to how so ma=
ny were on my t-shirt and face and also on the other person who was with me=
. We did not traverse grass higher than the ankle. When I was in the car =
and home my t-shirt was crawling with ticks. I even had a small on on my f=
ace that crawled into my mustache.

Today I went to the French Basin Trail. When going across the burnt over a=
rea between Keji and Annapolis Royal, I located a Lincoln's sparrow.

At the French Basin Trail I believe that there are more Soras than I've see=
n and heard there previously. I had great views of one that was in the mid=
dle of the trail and another that was preening. I do not believe that as m=
any ducks are present as in previous years. There were good numbers of nor=
thern shovelers present though.
