Grand Desert Salt Marsh
I found a single Little Blue Heron in eclipse plumage feeding in the Grand =
Desert Marsh today. I also found my first of the season Nelson=E2=80=99s =
Sharp-tailed Sparrows in the dune area alongside the road just after turnin=
g right after the causeway going towards the restricted area south. The h=
eron was located in the marsh across from the houses closest to the entry o=
f the causeway. I watched the heron for about 10 minutes before he flew de=
eper into the marsh towards Musquodobit.
