I was hearing a short quiet creak while out on the veranda tonight. Sounded like a loose door which is what I looked at first. But it was coming from this Stonefly (Plecoptera) on the ceiling. I read they have species specific drums, somewhat like woodpeckers, which I had not known. You cannot hear the taps in this 30s video but it can be seen drumming at the first, then a walk, and two more at the end. https://www.flickr.com/photos/150605880@N07/48192142977/in/dateposted/ Nancy D
