Hi David
Contact Lands and Forestry (Kentville).. In the interim, can you put the ja=
r in a freezer?
Normally they can be identified by size, then the appearance of the ears an=
d tragus/antitragus... Is that still intact?
Andrew

Subject: [NatureNS] Dead bat in Mason jar
Dear All,
One small bat made it to Kentville likely within the last month but
died in a pint Mason Jar from which apparently it could not escape. I
have put a lid on the jar; quite stinky.
It is partly decayed but someone who knows bats would no doubt be
able to ID it if relevant. Should I save it for expert examination ?
YT, DW, Kentville
