We had a female flicker yesterday, on some newly turned soil. She stayed
for quite a long time and seemed to be feeding mightily. Bugs? Or weed
seeds? We couldn't tell.

Subject: [NatureNS] New feeder bird

Yesterday a beautiful, male yellow shafted flicker came to feeders, both
seeds and suet. Never have seen them on feeders before, see them on lawn in
summer. W. Kettleson, Truro
