some of the cactuses are types that bloom at different times of the year but 
I suspect you just may be dealing with different light. I have mine all 
lined up on a counter with pretty much the same light and even slips from 
each in other pots and they bloom when they feel like it. Sometimes several 
times a year. They seem to thrive in coolish conditions here.
