Hi Don:
You should have contacted me. I could have given you the phone number for =
Barbara who has the chat. She would have let you sit in the kitchen to see=
the bird. It was seen today by some birders who went into the house. Bar=
bara sent me an email to let me know. On January 1, I ended up with 48 spe=
cies for the day of which the snow goose was one of them as was a green-win=
ged teal, a double-crested cormorant, northern gannets, Bonaparte gulls, re=
d-throated loons and lots of other good stuff. The green-winged teal and t=
he cormorant are hanging in First South. I could have had more species had=
I tried, but was happy with what I saw. There was a yellow-rumped warbler=
at Beach Meadows also. Did you see any of the three red-throated loons in=
Green Bay when you were there? I took some great close up photos of them =
on January 1. I just haven't had the time to post any of the sighting that=
I had on that day. I also see that Eric had two western willets today at =
Crescent Beach. Did you get to see them? I had one there on January 1. I=
hope that you have better luck the next time that you go out.
Sincerely,
James

My new theories:
Buntings have been taken down after New Years
S'no goose when there's no snow
This bird has just gone online and disappeared into a chat room
