Sure, there are lots of domestic swarms but in many years of extensive woods travel and agricultural extension, I only knew of two big, feral colonies. One was way back in the woods in a white pine with a lovely split in it and the other was in a linden (iIrc) imm. adjacent to the parking lot at the Historic Gardens in Annapolis Royal. I suspect our winters are a little too harsh for wild colony survival, missing the careful help of the beekeeper. Rick W.
