MAY 13/20 =97 I drove out to Lower Canard, along east Canard Road (hwy. =
341), to look for a possibly new bald eagle nest described yesterday by =
Doug Linzey. This nest is between Canard Road and Saxon St., north of =
Canard Road, and a bit west from the gravel Wellington Dyke Road. I =
scoped it from the latter location, and an adult female? bald eagle was =
sitting on the nest. The nest is 0.5 km. north of Canard Road. Windy, =
chilly day (9 C.), after morning blizzard of snow.

The nest is close to a pasture with black angus cattle, and just to the =
east is a poultry farm.

I also saw a greater yellowlegs upstream of the Canning Aboiteau, but =
Doug Linzey says this species has been in the Canning area for about a =
month.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.=
