Judy, and all a number of Hummingbirds landed in the top of a tall Spruce
tree beside out barn in White Point, Queens about an hour ago. More than
6...
I could not tell male or female. They rested, did not approach the feeders
and moved on. One year I had a number of males that just descended from the
heavens and all took turns ( politely!!) at the ports and then off they
went. Travelling through. I don't see it often but when I do it warms the
heart. My sister had a female at her feeder last evening in the wind, I
haven't seen a female here yet, unless it was high up.
