Hello All,
I don't know how widespread this is but dune buggies (old
cars/trucks given an off highway life by raising the undercarriage)
driven by spoiled brats can do a thorough job of exterminating frogs,
toads and perhaps other amphibia by spraying eggs to either side. I know
of one location, which once always had frog and toad eggs, where a
former short shallow pond was waist deep and >100 yards long by 2018.
And a bypass road was knee deep mud in places.
I never was a boy scout but was, like my school mates, was brought
up to respect plants, animals and property. Moth and rust doth corrupt.
