Nancy, the stickers are small and contain a number and other info that =
is recorded with a data base so when found there is a record of where =
the Monarch was tagged. One of mine was found in New Jersey two years =
ago. The sticker material is similar to the tags you find on Fruit and =
veggies and is placed in a particular part of the wing. Not easy to see =
but when the creature dies it can be tracked
...................................................................
Ask Larry Bogan. A 2014 CBC report on his work with the Monarchs says =
he uses stickers: "The insects are tagged with tiny stickers in an =
effort to track them as they begin a remarkable journey..." One of his =
stickers was found in Mexico a few years ago - so that was a triumph.=20
