Are Spear-marked Black moths generally found in the Valley?

A friend and I found what matches this pretty moth resting on an outside
window pane of my house that matches

pictures from various Butterflies and Moths. Unfortunately before I could
get a photo it flew away. It has such interesting and different markings
top-side and underside.

I notice this year there are more butterflies and moths around which are
delightful to see, especially now that gardens are brightening up.

Stay safe,
