Chinese Butcher-Bird or Shrike
Lanius cristatus lucionensis Shtegman
Taczanowski, 1891, reports that Maritime Territory finds included 2 females of Chinese butcher-bird, L. c. lucionesis Linn., one in June 1870 on Askold Island, another on 16 May 1885 in Sidemi. Determination remains doubtful and these birds almost certainly belong to L. c. confusus subspecies, which was established only in 1929.
