| Following the leadership of Hudson and other communities in Quebec, HRM became the first capital city in Canada to pass a pesticide bylaw. After a 3-year phase-in period, Bylaw P-800 came into full effect in April of 2003. |
RATE continues to monitor the operation of the Pesticide Bylaw, voice concerns, and to promote activities and alternatives to pesticides that nurture people and the environment.
