Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Chances are that you've heard of sexually transmitted diseases or STD's. This term refers to more than 50 specific diseases that have several characteristics in common including that they are often passed from person to person by sexual contact. Some of the more common sexually transmitted diseases can be found below (well, not actually the diseases...but information about the diseases!) and also there is some information about what to look for if you think you might have an STD and how t o avoid them all together. The important thing to remember is that condoms make for safer sex and see your doctor or a health clinic if you are concerned. Don't be embarrassed, but do get medical help for the health and safety of your partner and yourself.
