       Craigellachie
       (Stand fast)

       Craigellachie is a Speyside crag.
The Grants were known in their original Normandy by their motto Stand Fast', which also serves as their War Cry.
It was once wagered that the `poker face' of General Ulysses Grant (President of USA, 1868-76) could not be tricked into emotion. One of his fellow clansmen won the wager, by calling out the old Grant slogan, "Stand fast, Craigellachie!"

And so the forfeit was surrendered, with "smiles all round."
