Chaplain Daniel McEver of the US Army has been at the forefront of research into Clan MacIvor origins. He has been working in collaboration with members of the Gulf Shore (Cumberland County, Nova Scotia) branch of the MacIvors, and has generously shared some of the following information with this website. While some of the information must of course be subjected to further research, Chaplain McEver is hopeful that inclusion of same on this website will generate additional debate and discussion on these matters to assist in Clan MacIvor research.
